David Beckstead Workshop

I recently had the opportunity to attend a workshop by David Beckstead at the New England Institute of Professional Photography. David’s creative approach to photographing weddings has earned him several prestigious awards. The workshop lasted a short five days and was a great experience. I took away some great tips and some cool images.

Kathleen - The vertical image with the red fabric is by far, hands down, my favorite. What type of lens did you use to capture that? I just love how you have the ends of the fabric! Very cool Lucas :)

admin - Thanks Kathleen. Learned a ton at the Beckstead Workshop. Lots of fun. I used my 14-24 2.8 and held it real low to the ground so I could get the long fabric in the whole frame.

Natalie Stultz - Great photos! Very dramatic! Love the use of the mesh fabric and wind – woohoo! You got some great angles, like the groom from under the spiral object… Nice environmental portraits!
